Roasted Garlic Hummus

Serving Size: Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 20 minutes


1 head Garlic Roasted
1 tbp + 1 tsp Olive Oil
1 can (540 ml) Chick Peas
1/4 cup Lemon Juice
3 tbs Tahini Paste (Sesame seed paste)
3 tbs Water
1 tsp Kosher Salt
1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 400˚F. Place garlic in tin foil with teaspoon of oil. Cut off one end of the garlic bulb and wrap in foil. Roast for 20 minutes.
  2. Remove garlic and let cool. Once cool, remove skin and put in food processor. Add chick peas and blend until finely chopped (not smooth).
  3. Add all other ingredients until mixture is light and fluffy, but not mush.

So easy! Feel free to alter ingredients according to taste. I added a lot more garlic than the recipe originally called for.
