Roasted Garlic Hummus
|1 head||Garlic Roasted|
|1 tbp + 1 tsp||Olive Oil|
|1 can (540 ml)||Chick Peas|
|1/4 cup||Lemon Juice|
|3 tbs||Tahini Paste (Sesame seed paste)|
|1 tsp||Kosher Salt|
|1/4 tsp||Cayenne Pepper|
- Preheat oven to 400˚F. Place garlic in tin foil with teaspoon of oil. Cut off one end of the garlic bulb and wrap in foil. Roast for 20 minutes.
- Remove garlic and let cool. Once cool, remove skin and put in food processor. Add chick peas and blend until finely chopped (not smooth).
- Add all other ingredients until mixture is light and fluffy, but not mush.
So easy! Feel free to alter ingredients according to taste. I added a lot more garlic than the recipe originally called for.
